Company – £2.5m T/O Chilled Food Manufacturer – Home Counties
Challenge – The business was struggling with increasing production / technical administration costs and increasing customer demands for accurate, real time information on product labels and specifications. The 4 ingredient / product databases that the company had all needed constant updating which put strain on the technical team. There was too much ingredient / product stockholding. Wastage was above target expectations.
Solution – Consolidate ingredient / product databases into one software package delivering real time production scheduling and accurate up to date recipe, specification and labelling data.
Result – Production / administration staff was reduced from 3 to 2. The perception of the company was substantially improved within its customers – specifically the customer’s technical departments. Wastage was controlled to within target.
